Of course he cried! Of course he was in pain. Of course he died.
Of the two of us I honestly thought though, he would be the one making it. He was always the wise one, one could clearly see that - even since observing the elegant way that he could lift his back right foot while marking a car.
How purely do we experience sound?
We hear colors, we imagine and maybe draw shapes for what we perceive as music structures, we glance at scores with amazement and think they would always be there. And as if they have always been there. What if one day none of these facts were possible? Making music and internalizing it without any visual connections, hearing it without the visual dimension. Just hearing. Just sound. Pure sound. Sound in its strongest presence.
We saw her/him again
Crossing near the baseboard
First heard her tiny feet:
Crispy sound pressing on my panic.
She seemed more clumsy than usual
Yet less fat than last time
But also less cheeky
